Precision's FA Cup Round Up

Precision keeper Declan Rudd and Charlton Athletic are through to round 2, after beating high-flying Scunthorpe United 3-1 at the Valley. Rudd made a number of good saves, including denying Kevin Van Veen from close range, with the score at 2-1. They will come up against MK Dons in the next round.

Everton loanee Russ Griffiths will need a replay to see if his Cheltenham side will progress. They drew 1-1 with Crewe, despite being down to ten men for a majority of the game. Griffiths made a smart stop right at the end to keep his side in the competition tipping it away from close range. Sutton United will be there opponents should they go through.

Ryan Fulton played the full 90 minutes for Chesterfield as they made it into round 2. A 2-1 win over Colchester was enough to set up a tie against Wycombe in the next round. It was a narrow victory as Fulton made smart stops to deny Kurtis Guthrie and Drey Wright.

Luke McGee, on loan from Tottenham, has enjoyed a good start with Peterborough, and helped them into the next round, after they beat Chesham 2-1. An away trip to Boreham Wood or Notts County awaits.

Aaron Ramsdale made his professional debut for Sheffield United at home to a struggling Leyton Orient side. He made a great start to his professional career, keeping a cleansheet in a 6-0 victory. Bolton in the next round makes for tough route into the third round.

Trevor Carson and Hartlepool United had a quiet afternoon as they went out 3-0 winners over non-league side Stamford. Carson was rarely tested in the net. Hartlepool are away to Port Vale in the next round.
