Former Republic of Ireland, Preston North End, Sheffield United and Blackburn Rovers goalkeeper Alan Kelly has been announced as an ambassador for Precision Goalkeeping.
Currently goalkeeping coach for the Republic of Ireland and Preston North End Academy, Kelly, will act as a brand ambassador for Precision Training’s rapidly expanding goalkeeping brand.
He began his career at Preston North End following in the footsteps of his father, Alan Kelly Snr., who also played in goal for the Republic of Ireland.
Kelly has also started his own Goalkeeping website (www.goalkeepingskills.com) that offers international standard coaching via an interactive online portal.
Kelly, 42, said; “I am delighted to have been asked to become a brand ambassador for Precision Goalkeeping.
“I have known David Sanderson (National Sales Manager) for over 20 years and worked with him on glove development throughout that time.
“The new range of gloves that Precision Goalkeeping have produced are absolutely fantastic as is proven by the calibre of keepers they already have wearing them.”
David Sanderson commented; “I am personally delighted that Alan has agreed to join Precision Goalkeeping.
“He has played at the highest level of the game and is a highly regarded international coach. His advice and technical knowledge will be invaluable for the brand moving forward.
“We have made significant strides in a very short period of time and Alan’s appointment is another part of the jigsaw we are delighted to have put in place.”
Kelly will act as a brand ambassador for the Precision Goalkeeping stable which includes Kasper Schmeichel, Brian Jensen, Keiren Westwood, Robert Olejnik, Ian McLoughlin and Trevor Carson.
Former England manager Graham Taylor is lead Brand Ambassador and the Nottingham-based company also have official partnerships with cricket county champions Nottinghamshire and are official suppliers of specialist training aids to the Football League.
