Kieren WestwoodPrecision Goalkeeping's Kieren Westwood believes his future may lie away from Sunderland after falling behind in the pecking order.

Following Shay Given’s retirement from international football, after Ireland’s disastrous Euros campaign a year ago, the Sunderland goalkeeper started the 2012-13 season as Giovanni Trapattoni’s No 1.

He finished it on the bench at Wembley last week, watching Precision Goalkeeping stable-mate David Forde making a string of saves to earn a creditable draw against England.

Although he returned to keep a clean sheet against 10-man Georgia on Sunday evening, Westwood has also had to play deputy to the excellent Simon Mignolet at the Stadium of Light for a difficult last 18 months.

Precision Goalkeeping's David Forde insists the Republic of Ireland are out to earn bragging rights by beating England on their own turf.

David FordeIreland keeper Forde can't wait to lock horns with the old enemy at Wembley. It will be the first time the two sides have met since the infamous 1995 Lansdowne Road clash, which was abandoned due to rioting.

But Forde says Ireland's crucial World Cup 2014 qualifier at home to the Faroe Islands on June 7 remains the priority.

Victory against the Faroes could fire Giovanni Trapattoni's men into the Group C play-off spot with four games to go.

Rotherham have signed former Carlisle goalkeeper Adam Collin on a two-year deal.

The 28-year-old left Carlisle earlier this month at the end of his contract and pens a deal that will keep him at New York Stadium until 2015.

Collin, who began his career at Newcastle, rejected a move to an SPL club in favour of the South Yorkshire club and he is excited about the potential at the Millers.

"There was a bit of interest from League One and the SPL but I've chosen to come here because it's a club on the up with a great set-up at the training ground and the stadium," he said.

"The location and the fanbase are excellent."

Millers boss Steve Evans, who added Richard Brindley to his squad earlier on Thursday, added: "A lot of the success they (Carlisle) had in recent years was down to the big man's form.

"We identified him in February as a potential target, and there was interest from two established League One clubs.

"He's 6ft 4in, kicks it well, he's strong and has a big presence and has a real pedigree of course being from Newcastle United.
