Crusaders FC, Northern Ireland, have won the prestigious JJB Sports Irish Cup Final with a little help from Precision Training. Crusaders defeated Cliftonville, in front of a passionate crowd of 8000 at the Oval, courtesy of a solitary Mark Dickson goal early in the second half. PRECISION Training - Britain's leading supplier of sports training aids and apparel – became the official supplier to the Crusaders earlier in the season and the partnership has paid great dividends for the Northern Ireland Premiership club. David Sanderson, national sales manager for Precision Training, said: “Crusaders were our first Northern Ireland club partner and we are delighted that, in the first season of the partnership, they have had such wonderful success. “The Irish Cup is one of the biggest events in Northern Ireland’s sporting calendar and we are really pleased that all their hard work on the training ground has paid off.” Stephen Baxter, the Crusader’s boss, said following his side’s famous victory; “It doesn’t get any better than this! “Mark Dickson scored a great goal but then it was a bit of backs to the wall but the players defended admirably. “We put a lot of emphasis on our training regime this year and our partnership with Precision Training has enabled us to bring new ideas to the training arena which in turn helps the coaches to keep players alert, focused and highly motivated. “I have no doubt that our cup success is testament to that.”
