Precision Goalkeeping Launch Limited Edition Gloves PDF Print E-mail

Precision Goalkeeping have released a small quantity of Limited Edition Keiren Westwood goalkeeping gloves into the market.

The move comes following the announcement that Republic of Ireland keeper Westwood has signed for English Premier League club Sunderland last week.

Westwood, who was captain of Coventry City last season, is out of contract and will join up with Steve Bruce’s men on July 1st.

The special make up gloves are the exact replica of those worn by Westwood - negative cut gloves with finger protection and a Silver trim.

David Sanderson, National Sales Manager for Precision Goalkeeping, said; “We are delighted for Keiren – he had a superb season with Coventry and have no doubt he will be a great success at Sunderland.

“Prior to the transfer announcement we had received a number of enquiries about his gloves and we have decided to release a small quantity to the market.

“Sales of all of our gloves have been fantastic since our launch and Keiren’s move to the Premier League only acts to further cement our position within the market.”

Westwood is part of an impressive stable of Precision Goalkeeping keepers that includes Kasper Schmeichel, Brian Jensen, Frank Fielding, Alan Kelly, Robert Olejnik, Ian Turner and Trevor Carson.

Former England manager Graham Taylor is lead Brand Ambassador for parent company Precision Training and the Nottingham based company also have official partnerships with Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club, Aston Villa and are official suppliers of specialist training aids to the Football League.

CrusadersFCPre-season training seems to come round quicker every year!

And it is already under way - with a little bit of help from Precision Training - for the Irish Premiership runners up Crusaders FC as they prepare for the 2011-12 UEFA Europa League.

Crusaders FC - professional partners of Precision Training - have been drawn against the winners of Fulham or NSI Runavik from the Faroe Islands.

The first leg of the tie is expected to take place on the 14th of July.

Precision Training are the official training aid suppliers to Crusaders FC.

As official suppliers of training aids to the Football League, Precision Training work alongside all 72 member clubs across England and Wales.

 
Westwood Signs for Sunderland PDF Print E-mail

WestwoodPrecision Goalkeeping’s Keiren Westwood has signed for English Premier League side Sunderland.

Westwood, who was captain of Coventry City last season, is out of contract and will join up with Steve Bruce’s men on July 1st.

The Republic of Ireland keeper joined the Precision Goalkeeping stable during the 2010/11 season and made his starting International debut wearing his Precision Goalkeeping gloves in the 2-1 win against Macedonia in the European Championship Qualifier.

Westwood will be the second goalkeeper to wear Precision Goalkeeping gloves in the Premier League following in the footsteps of Brian Jensen who first wore them for Burnley against Chelsea at Turf Moor in the 2009/10 season.

frankwebFrankie Fielding got to grips with his new Precision Goalkeeping gloves at the European Under 21 championships.

The England keeper wore his gloves for the first time after signing a new contract with the Nottingham-based company.

Frankie, who will be playing his club football for Championship side Derby next season, will be holding a pre season media event in the East Midlands in July.  Full details to follow.

Fielding Hoping for Semi Final PDF Print E-mail

frankwebEngland Under 21's will be hoping for a win to book their place in the European Championship semi final this weekend.

Frankie Fielding and Precision Goalkeeping helped England get off to a very encouraging start in the European Under 21 Championships in Denmark.

Derby's new keeper was wearing his new Precision Goalkeeping gloves for the first time in tournament play as England earned a 1-1 draw in their opener against Spain in Herning and had an outstanding game in the 0-0 draw against the Ukraine.

Fielding made several smart saves and declared himself highly pleased and satisfied with the gloves.

Precision Goalkeeping annouced Fielding as the latest addition to their goalkeeping portfolio which also includes Leeds' Kasper Schmeichel and Republic of Ireland keeper Keiran Westwood.

frank_fieldingEngland Under 21 goalkeeper Frank Fielding is the latest high profile keeper to join Precision Goalkeeping.

Fielding has signed for the fastest growing goalkeeping brand in the UK just days before flying out to play for England in the Under 21 European Championship in Denmark.

The former Blackburn Rovers keeper signed for Championship side Derby County at the end of the season and is expected to be number 1 for England in Denmark.

Throughout the tournament Fielding will be wearing the new range of Precision Goalkeeping gloves in the red and white of the St George’s cross.

On signing with Precision Goalkeeping Fielding, said; “I am delighted to be part of the Precision Goalkeeping stable.

Kasper Gets Denmark Call PDF Print E-mail

Kasper_web2Precision Goalkeeping ambassador Kasper Schmeichel has been called up to the Denmark squad.

Kasper will join the Danish senior squad for the first time in his career ahead of the International friendly against Iceland in Reykjavik.

The Leeds United star has played for Denmark at every age group level from Under 19 to Under 21 but this marks his first senior call up following an outstanding season in the Championship.

Precision Goalkeeping’s National Sales Manager, David Sanderson, said; “We signed Kasper Schmeichel to be our brand ambassador because of his outstanding potential.

“He has had a fantastic season for Leeds United playing in over 40 games last season and his performances have quite rightly won him the International recognition he deserves.

Denmark play Iceland in Reykjavik on Saturday 4th of June.
